Sanjay Joshi is the head of customer management for Asia Pacific at Aker Solutions. He is based in Mumbai, India and has over 30 years of experience in the oil and energy sector globally.
Sanjay started his engineering career in 1980, gaining experience in various areas such as piping and facilities design, process engineering and project management. He then spent almost a decade specializing in the upstream onshore and offshore sector in the Middle East and United Kingdom.
He returned to India in the year 2000 to spearhead Aker Solutions’ expansion into the country. He led the upstream operations and executed several offshore projects in the Indian waters and the Norwegian North Sea.
Sanjay received the Business Leader of the Year in Engineering Services award in 2015 from the ChemTECH Foundation, in recognition of his contribution to the engineering sector in India.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, and is a fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, United Kingdom.
