Valery has 18 years of oil and gas experience. He started his career with BP where had several commercial roles in Russia, TNK-BP, Angola Business Unit and Global M&A Team. He then worked as a Director in Citigroup Energy Investment Banking, advising clients on M&A situations across the EMEA region. Valery is also a founder of an online M&A analytics platform.

He holds a PhD in Physics from Moscow State University and an MBA from London Business School.
