Jon has 30 years’ experience in physical and financial energy markets. He began his career with BP in Australia in 1990, then at Mitsui & Co. before moving to Commonwealth Bank in Sydney where he built a client-focused energy derivatives sales and marketing business for the bank. Following senior client-facing capital markets roles with Bank of America in Singapore and London and with Standard Chartered Bank and Société Générale in London, Jon re-joined BP in 2011. His current focus is originating structured risk management solutions in acquisition and development finance transactions for oil and gas producers within EMEA. Jon holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland, Australia.

Jon is joining the 2019 Awards of Excellence Judging Panel. The panel will be meeting on Friday 18 October to review, deliberate, discuss and shortlist the nominations received from our global network.
