I was scholar of an oil and gas company that assigned me into oil and gas division during my practical training.

The rapid technology advancement in alternative energy such as renewable energy sector will be a greatest challenge.

About Vick Veloo
Vick Veloo, a Malaysian is the Vice President of Technology for Fluids and Chemical System for the Oilfield Services Division of Scomi Group Bhd. He has over 19 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He was previously with Baker Hughes Incorporation, a US based oilfield Service Company for 5 years, specialising in Drilling & Completion Fluid systems, Well Enhancement Technology, Enhance Oil Recovery technology and Production Chemical for Saudi/Bahrain geomarket. He started his career in oilfield with Kota Minerals and Chemicals SDN BHD as Drilling Fluids Engineer before he moved into management role as Technical manager. He moved to Baker Hughes in 2004 with baker Hughes drilling fluids as MEAP regional technical advisor before moved to Saudi Arabia as Geomarket Technical Engineering Manager.
