Haran Sivam

Haran Sivam is a Principal Investment Officer in the Global Energy Unit within IFC’s Infrastructure & Natural Resources Department. IFC is the private sector arm of the World Bank Group with $8 billion in equity and debt investments in Energy projects throughout the Emerging Markets. Mr. Sivam has been leading IFC’s LNG-related investments including in LNG-to-Power and LNG terminal projects. Prior to taking up his current position in 2010, Mr. Sivam spent two years as Advisor to CEO of JPS – the private vertically integrated power utility of Jamaica – and four years as a Managing Director at the Blackstone Group successfully originating and completing infrastructure developments on the African continent. He has nearly 30 years of Power and Oil & Gas sector investment experience in various capacities in the Emerging Markets. Mr. Sivam has Mechanical Engineering degrees from MIT and Brown University, and an MBA from the Wharton School.
